Este documento presenta de forma sintética la valoración que las organizaciones sociales, no gubernamentales y académicas hicieron frente al nivel de cumplimiento de las obligaciones que impone el PIDESC al Estado colombiano, en el marco el II Coloquio de Política Social y Derechos Humanos realizado a finales de octubre de 2008. Para ello se describirá primero el proceso social de construcción participativa del III Informe alterno al CDESC (del cual el II Coloquio es un momento importante de socialización), luego se hará una aproximación al contexto en el que se desenvuelve la política social bajo el mandato del Presidente Uribe Vélez, en tercer lugar se presentarán algunas lecturas alternativas sobre la situación de los derechos sociales a la educación y a la salud4 y, finalmente, algunas perspectivas del trabajo con los DESC.How to Cite
