Llegó el año 2010 con la anunciada celebración del Bicentenario de la Independencia. Año, pero sobre todo nombre, que sin duda será de buen recaudo para esas retóricas obcecadas en la mistificación de la historia. En un país como el nuestro, donde la historia pareciera enclaustrada en la voluntad de unos hombres y en la estirpe de unas familias, estas retóricas bien podrán emprender su cometido mistificador aludiendo a una portentosa Generación del Bicentenario. “¡Sí!”, nos dirán exultantes los retóricos, “¡como la del siglo pasado!”, pretendiendo con esto reinventar un siglo después otra generación centenarista, como aquella que representara a esos espíritus que para 1910 apenas alcanzaban la juventud pero que luego, en los años treinta, alcanzaron especial lustre por sus visiones, sus convicciones y sus ejecutorias en distintos campos de la vida nacional.How to Cite
