Approach and Reach

The Journal Ciudad Pazando is an electronic and printed journal published every six months by the Instituto para la Pedagogía, la Paz y el Conflicto Urbano from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (IPAZUD). It shows the results of researches, reviewes and reflections relative to academic-scientific community interests. The first edition was published in 2008, and it has been published uninterruptedly for more than twelve years.

Ciudad Pazando aims to spread knowledge from the plurality of perspectives on social, political, economic and cultural areas that lead to the opening of democratic spaces in the writing scene. Thus, after a decade of editorial, academic and intellectual work, RCP has established itself as one of the most recognized scientific journals on issues of peace, conflict, democracy and promotion of human rights culture.

The RCP’s target is the academic community around the research work in topics relative to human and social sciences, with preference on issues of memory, cityzenchip, territory, conflict, pedagogy and peace. Also the magazine has looked for its legitimacy by ensuring high quality contents and contextual relevance in order to contribute to science and scientists.

Indexing

In the same way, aware of the importance of a scientific journal such as RCP for the situation and national history, the editorial team of the same has worked so that it is currently correctly cataloged in databases and indexing and indexing directories such as:

Journal history

The Ciudad Paz-ando Magazine began its publication in 2008 as a virtual and printed platform for scientific dissemination. In 2012 it was included for the first time in the IBN Publindex; In 2014 its contents began to be cataloged and disseminated by the network of libraries of the Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales - CLACSO, the indexing directory Latindex, as well as the indexing platform of the Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico - REDIB.

Subsequently, in 2015, it was included in the Directory of Open Access Journals - DOAJ Indexing Directory. Finally, in 2021, RCP was included in the great catalog of journals profiled through Google Scholar.

Currently, the Ciudad Pazando Journal has established itself as one of the most important scientific dissemination media at a regional and national level on issues related to conflict, peace, memory, Human Rights, gender studies, citizenship, the pedagogy and the territory.
