Abstract (es)
Se han desarrollado aplicaciones exitosas en ambientes distribuidos abiertos aplicando tecnologías de la Web semántica, lo que ha conllevado a su potenciación en la solución a problemas, en la cual la computación tradicional ha logrado resultados limitados. En este documento se hace una revisión de la concepción del desarrollo de la Web semántica para luego estudiar las tecnologías más relevantes que la hacen posible, como es XML, RDF y las ontologías.
Además, se describe las principales características de Protégé, una herramienta para el desarrollo de ontologías. Asimismo, se aborda el tema de agentes inteligentes, que puede ser de gran importancia en el proceso automático para el descubrimiento, composición y orquestación de servicios Web semánticos.
